BACK IN 1947...
Norman Humphrey, a Detroit envelope salesman, works his territory. Over and over he hears “Don’t you have a stonger envelope that will last longer?” So, with dogged determination (and probably some duct tape) he creates the first DOCUMENT FOLDER! A folder company named ADMORE® is born. This is the very same 01-01 folder we still sell today.
Original Company Logo
WE ARE THE ORIGINAL!
Packard may be credited with developing the first automobile storage box, but it was Admore that created the first glove box folder. That’s right! Chances are you or someone in your family has received this classic “Red Square” auto owner’s document folder...and it’s as popular today as it was in the 1950’s.
WE LOVE FOLDERS
Yes, it’s easier to just offer a 9" x 12" folder and stay in a standard set-up all day. But where’s the fun in that? Through the years, we have continued to innovate processes to bring you the largest selection of folder styles in the industry. From the most basic to the incredibly complex, we do them all. But, not every new product was successful...probably the reason you’ve never heard of the "Desk All".
THE PLEASURE IS OURS
Admore products have been used by Fortune 500 companies, major league sport teams, even by U.S. presidents. One of our travel folders made an appearance in a TV episode of The Sopranos. We are especially proud to have manufactured the official White House Christmas card in 2013. Still, we most enjoy seeing our folders used by every day companies from every corner of the United States.
75+ YEARS OF FOLDER MAKING
When we started making folders in 1947, they were glued & folded by hand. Commercial printers started dabbling in folders in the 80’s when folding equipment became available. And Admore? We never dabbled. We built our own folding equipment – decades before. Today, the process has changed, but our pledge to you remains the same. To produce a fine quality product that proudly represents your company. We can only imagine what the next 75 years will bring!
